If the weight by volume (see the formula below) exceeds the stated number of kilos, your package is counted as bulky and will be charged at the fixed rate per kilo x the weight by volume.
For local couriers, the standard is 280 kg/cubic metre.
The weight by volume for carriage by air is the length of the package multiplied by its height and breadth divided by 6000. (Formula: length x height x breadth / 6000)
The weight by volume for carriage by road is the length of the package multiplied by its height and breadth divided by 3570. (Formula: length x height x breadth / 3570)
