Jetpak continues to grow

The Nordic express company Jetpak is acquiring the entire Finnish ground transportation company Lähettipirkka Oy. Together with a recent acquirement of Borg-Trans in Norway back in March Jetpak now strengthen its leading position in the Nordic market.
The Nordic express company Jetpak is acquiring the entire Finnish ground transportation company Lähettipirkka Oy. Together with a recent acquirement of Borg-Trans in Norway Jetpak now strengthen its leading position in the Nordic market.

- Lähettipirkka has an exquisite reputation and is a prosperous company with a high degree of delivery precision. The acquirement puts Jetpak in a unique position – no one else can supply local presence together with the fastest door to door services including Finland, Eric Lautmann says, Managing Director, Jetpak Group.

Lähettipirkka was founded in 1978 and purchased in 1985 by Mr Jorma Majuri, present Managing Director in Lähettipirkka, now officially a subsidiary of Jetpak Finland Oy that actually started its operation August 1st, this year.

Jetpak in Finland will have a turnover of 110 miljon SEK in 2007, including the 65 miljon SEK originating from Lähettipirkka. A total of 130 employees will be reflected by the acquirement.

- Up to now all expectations have been exceeded in terms of the very start of Jetpak Finland Oy. We are expecting the merge with Lähettipirkka to be very smooth as Jorma Majuri will remain as Managing Director and together with the management of Jetpak will continue to develop the company.

- Also it will be a very smooth start for the new Managing Director that Jetpak is in the process of recruiting, Milko Marsala is adding, the Marketing & Sales Manager of Jetpak Finland Oy.
